Conventional Dentures

At Dr. Kirshen’s office conventional dentures are fabricated using a 2 stage impression technique. After preliminary impressions are taken we fabricate custom trays for each arch. At the second apppointment cutomized impressions are taken utilizing a muscle moulding technique which helps define the peripheries and border outline. This double impression technique minimizes sore spots and the number of adjustments necessary after denture insertion. The best acrylic teeth available are used as porcelain denture teeth to transfer much of the stress to the underlying jaw bone and over time would cause accelerated bone loss making dentures even harder to wear.
